He's a Spicy One!

So here we are...months later. But I wanted to share this video anyway! Dylan was born in May and is quite the little rascal already. Haley loves him...sometimes a little too vigorously. :) You can always see up-to-date pictures at http://lerwickcircus.smugmug.com if you get frustrated by the lack of updates to this blog!

It's a BOY!

So it isn't the best picture, but we'll just have to wait until May for a better one. :) At our ultrasound today (22 weeks) the little one looked happy (I think!), healthy, hyper, and male. We're all pretty excited...hence the long, long overdue blog post! You may pass the word that I've finally updated it! Thanks for checking in!

Biker Chick

So yeah, we are making good use of the Greenway while we're here!
Ready for her first ride.
A few difficulties with the little helmet...
All set.
Trying on Mom's helmet in hopes that we can go back out. :)

Whew!

Ok...questions first. Yes, we closed on the house and moved and everyone got well. :) And yes, the new house we are building is in Rocking Star.

We left with the last load of stuff 15 minutes before the new owners took possesion...nothing like cutting it close! The 2 week closing would've been a little crazy anyway, but we ended up celebrating Haley's first birthday, "entertaining" a house full of company and all getting sick that week before the closing. So it was an absolute zoo. But we all lived through it and are now happily ensconced in the little place where Tim and Myrna lived while they built their house. :) We love it here...there are trees and foxes and we're right on the Greenway. It is also quite handy to be close to everything in town for a change!

This was just a couple of days ago when Haley decided that she should sit on Nora's lap. Little goon.

The girls posing at the little play area on our Greenway route.

All ready to go! Sometimes I take them out in the wagon, sometimes the double stroller, and just recently we tried a little bike trailer...but they pinched each other...so we might have to stick to the other two options. :)

Hangin' at the play area.

One of Miss Haley's first horsey rides. She just started this recently and still doesn't hand on very well. :)

Just a sweet picture of the little "angel" reading her books. She's quite independant and will sit for hours looking through her books and yabbering about them. She doesn't mind sitting on your lap for this, but would rather turn the pages herself.

The house construction is going very quickly and with only a few disasters. You can check out all of the pictures in our Construction Zone 2008 gallery, but here's what the place looked like yesterday.

Haley's 1!

Haley had fun opening her presents, but ended up getting distracted and Daddy had to help. :)
Caught in the act!

Amidst all of the chaos I had actually forgotten that it was my birthday too, but Glenda reminded me and put candles on the extra cake for me. :)
One of Haley's favorite gifts from uncle Keith. Shouldn't every little tyke have a pair?

Next Adventure: Moving & Construction

I must apologize for my cryptic last post. I was still a little dazed by the terms (2 weeks!!) of our contract. But yeah...the house is under contract, so we'll be moving. The plan is to move into town and rent a little place while we build again. The new house will be out on Horse Creek.
This is our lot...notice the nice little stakes we put in on Saturday. :)

And this is our contractor. Wish us luck! :)

Goodbye Old House!

Well folks, the house is under contract. That's the good news. The bad is that we have to get moved out in 2 weeks! So I should be packing...yuck. Good thing I've got Haley to help me, eh? :)

It sure doesn't seem like we've been here for 2 years already. Lots of memories here...we'll miss it. But on to the next adventure, right?

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all are having a lovely Valentine's day. Mine is pretty quiet so far....but currently my two little sweethearts are resisting naptime...so we'll see how that goes!

In response to the requests for a recent picture, here is one from last night before meeting.

And another snap of my studious little gal checking out the National Geographic. :)

Chad's Birthday

I think birthdays are delicious, don't you?

Heaping helpings of Hawaiian haystacks for The Engineer and The Teacher.

And the secret to our "success"? Working together! *grin*

Haley's keeping a sharp eye on this process so she'll be ready for her birthday soon!

Winter Travels

We ventured back home again for the Holidays and had a grand old time with all manner of family and friends. :)

Haley was a big help with the dishwasher repair.

I don't know about these two...

Maybe Mom won't get me in trouble for unloading the diswasher if I hide this?

Apple pies are my specialty! (Grandma helps a little.)

Isn't this the way it should be done?

I wish they had left me a little more meat on this bone...

Lori, you don't need that pacifier...

Visiting Santa with cousin Caleb.

Grandma has treasures in her cupbords!

Off to cut wood with Daddy.

December: Business as Usual

This was the first time that I caught the little monkey climbing into our swing by herself. It was apparently quite a lot of fun, as it has become a favorite jungle gym. I still can't believe that she doesn't fall....I'll have to upload some of our videos of said acrobatics.

Shopping wears me out too...

Sledding might be more fun if Dad didn't crash the sled.

Nah....still too cold. :)

Helping with the dishes.

November: Welcome Sprout!

The big news in November was the addition of another little one to our daily routine. "The Teacher" had to go back to work and little "Sprout" (because she has grown so much faster than our little "Bean") came to stay with Haley and I during the day. The girls enjoy the company already and will even more as they get older.

I was a little concerned about Haley pestering Sprout, so I bought her a baby doll...she loves it, but isn't terribly gentle...so, mixed results there!

For Thanksgiving we got to be with Chad's family. I think maybe someone else got a better picture, but this was the best I got with my timer. :)

A little Wyoming fan in the classic Flinstone-mobile. Thanks for sharing, Amelia!

Halloween

(edited to say: Since I can't seem to keep up with my own blog, I'm going to post-date a few of these!)

I know this is months and months after the fact, but couldn't resist going back in the archives to post this picture.

(also added later: No, Daddy and I ate most of her candy...it's a pretty good racket!)

Just Hanging Out

No big event here....just "hanging" with Mom. :)
