December: Business as Usual

This was the first time that I caught the little monkey climbing into our swing by herself. It was apparently quite a lot of fun, as it has become a favorite jungle gym. I still can't believe that she doesn't fall....I'll have to upload some of our videos of said acrobatics.

Shopping wears me out too...

Sledding might be more fun if Dad didn't crash the sled.

Nah....still too cold. :)

November: Welcome Sprout!

The big news in November was the addition of another little one to our daily routine. "The Teacher" had to go back to work and little "Sprout" (because she has grown so much faster than our little "Bean") came to stay with Haley and I during the day. The girls enjoy the company already and will even more as they get older.

I was a little concerned about Haley pestering Sprout, so I bought her a baby doll...she loves it, but isn't terribly gentle...so, mixed results there!

For Thanksgiving we got to be with Chad's family. I think maybe someone else got a better picture, but this was the best I got with my timer. :)

A little Wyoming fan in the classic Flinstone-mobile. Thanks for sharing, Amelia!

Halloween

(edited to say: Since I can't seem to keep up with my own blog, I'm going to post-date a few of these!)

I know this is months and months after the fact, but couldn't resist going back in the archives to post this picture.

(also added later: No, Daddy and I ate most of her candy...it's a pretty good racket!)

Just Hanging Out

No big event here....just "hanging" with Mom. :)

Pint-sized Pals

Brooklyn came to visit us for the afternoon a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time. Haley thought that Brooklyn was just hilarious. Please come play again! :)

More Adventures in Missouri

We took another trip home in September. The girls had a lot more fun together this time since they are both mobile now. Tenny walks like a pro and Haley perfected her crawling technique while we were home.

Chad caught a monster bass in the pond where we got married that tipped the scale around 6 1/4 pounds. So we got a "family picture". :)

The whole crew again.

There are more pictures of the trip in my photo album (http://lerwickcircus.smugmug.com/) and Karen's (http://melendyzoo.smugmug.com/) if you should wish to see them.

New Cousin, continued . . .

I'm sorry I don't have a new picture to show here, but Haley's new little cousin is named Kendra Ann. From all reports she eats quite well and is a cheerful little thing. :)

Look out World, Haley's Mobile!

Well, Miss Haley started crawling last Friday. She had been teasing us for several weeks, so we were pretty excited. This was taken just after she had crawled halfway across the living room. Of course I didn't get that on video though!

So I've been trying to get a better video since Friday and finally got this last night. She seems to have a rather modified method, but manages to get around quite well. She's quite attracted to anything with lights and cords, so our electronics are now in grave danger!

New Cousin!

Another cousin has arrived! Amber and Brian are thrilled with their expanded family. Mom and baby were both looking perfectly radiant just hours after the birth.

The whole crew.

We even got a cousin picture so that none of the little ones got left out. :)

Big sister Carissa is pretty smitten with her little sister already.

But Haley and Nathan preferred to play with Nathan's new dinosaurs.

Playing in the Park

We all had a great time playing in the park last Sunday. Haley thought that the grass was pretty cool stuff. Maybe someday we'll have a lawn again. . .

Jill & Luke blowing bubbles for the little quadruped.

I couldn't resist posting this picture Gena, Jacob looks so cute. Haley hasn't learned to ham for the camera yet but I didn't expect the glare.

Stuck!

Hello all! This video was taken a few days ago when Haley backed herself underneath the coffee table. She's better at going forward now, but still not doing a real crawl.

(Honestly I just wanted to try this other video hosting service and this is my most recent decent video. Enjoy anyway!)

Still not Crawling!

Well, the little goon is still not really crawling, but she's got the army crawl down. She looks like she'll take off any time, but has for a couple of weeks now.
"This crawling business is over-rated."

I'm not sure if the pigtails help or not, but they're fun. :)

Camping again

Another quick camping trip. This time just the three of us.
This is Miss Haley helping us set up camp.
Inspecting the tent.
This was one of those sticks that light up when you snap them....she was completely mesmerized.
The camp cook.

Visit from Uncle Harold

Just a couple of weeks ago, Harold came to visit us for a few days. We had a great time and Haley really took to Harold.

He tried and tried to get her to crawl....we really thought that she would while he was here. But no such luck.
But she did try very hard and had to take a long nap after he left.
I'll be crawling next time you visit, Uncle Harold. Promise! :)

Salebarn and such

Then we got to see the salebarn where Keith and Levi were working.
"Working hard?"
"It's all so exciting!"
Keith & Blue
Dinner with family and friends.

"Back trouble? This is how I keep in shape."
Keith gave Haley a piece of lariat to play with and it has become one of her favorite toys. She often falls asleep with it. :)
While Chad and I were getting the house tour, Ava and the boys gave Haley her own tour. I don't think that she was as impressed with the loft as Chad was, but still had fun.

Happy in Texas

We had the privilege of another convention this year. Haley was not impressed with the heat, she had found her voice, and learned to fight sleep...not a great combo for Mom and Dad, but we managed. :)
Grandpa thought that Haley looked pretty cute in this little dress until she messed all over it AND his jeans 20 minutes later. Thank goodness for "Zout!"
This was Miss Haley's first walk in real grass and she was pretty pumped.
Uncle Keith taught her that the grass is also good to chew on. Maybe he'll make her into a cowgirl yet. :)
But so far Daddy's shoulders are her favorite perch.
Miss Ava was very excited about finally meeting "Haley Rose" and couldn't get enough of playing with her.

"Camping" with Isabella

I'm getting out of order here...this one should be before the swimming pictures. Sorry.

We met Grandma and Grandpa and Ryan, Carmen, and Isabella at a cabin in the woods. We took a great 7 mile hike and helped Isabella celebrate her 3rd birthday.
The birthday girl . . . our little butterfly princess. Haley is wondering if those pretty wings would taste good.
One of the gorgeous views on our hike.
Cousins :)
Post-hike family photo.
When we got back to Larry and Glenda's, Haley and Angelina decided to do a little shopping.
